 February 2012

Father God, we abide in Your presence with joyous expectation as we worship You and give You all the honor, glory, and praise.
We thank You that You have chosen us to lift us up out of wordly cares, discouragement, and sometimes depression.
We welcome Your invitation to come up into the light so that we may continue to be lights to the world.

Father, as we look around us, and listen to the news, and read our papers, we wonder some times what is wrong with mankind.
You sent Your Son, Your ONLY Son, to die on the cross so that we might embrace all that it means to be Your children, repentant and redeemed
by the Blood of the Lamb. We pray over those who have either not understood the gospel or have not heard it.  We pray that our
lives out in the community may bring light to those with whom we come in contact.

Father, we lift up our Pastor and his family.  May Your favor rest upon each person; may our Pastor continue to be filled to over-
flowing with the Holy Spirit and with Your message to us, our fellowship.  We pray for all of those who labor in Your vineyard-
may each be attached to the vine and bearing fruit for the Kingdom.  We pray for those of our body who are sick; may they be
strengthened by Your Word .  We pray for family members who do not know Jesus as their Savior and Lord.
We pray that the scales will be off their eyes so that they will see and understand the glorious gospel.

This month is Valentines Day.  Love is spoken about and written about and even depicted in art forms, but we know that compared
with Your love for us, that earthly kind of love is shallow indeed.  Forgive us for missing the mark.  On the other hand, encourage us to
spread abroad Your love into the lives of our families and friends. Help us to be walking breathing talking emmisaries of Your love, the
agape, divine Love that knows no limits.

We thank You for giving to us a real reason for living- to be blessings in the lives of those around us.  We give You glory, Father, and we
praise Your Holy Name.  May all that we do be pleasing to you.  This day, we have chosen to follow You.  We seek, desire, and want to
nourish a dynamic, living relationship with Jesus, our Savior and Lord.

May each of us continue to walk in Your favor in the Mighty Name of Jesus.  So be it and let it be so.
